Process & Scheduling: Completed Insurance form, (COI ), must be provided a minimum of 72 hours prior to desired moving date, (excluding weekends), to Ingrid McGregor imcgregor@maxwellkates.com . Moving is permitted Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm except holidays. Make sure to first check with Glenn Gaughan, (resident manager) bldgsupt@aol.com, to confirm if the requested timeframe is available or if there is already another move scheduled for that time slot.
Requirements: All moving and furniture delivery companies must be fully insured and have their insurance reviewed and approved prior to being allowed to enter the building. All insurance is reviewed by the building’s insurance brokerage company. Once sumitted to Maxwell Kates, Ingrid McGregor will forward to HUB International for review and will provide an update to the shareholder or renter on whether the insurance is approved. In certain circumstances Ingrid will inform the shareholder if a full ‘General Liability ‘policy from the mover’s insurance company is required for review.
Note: The insurance must meet HUB International’s coverage standards and cannot have an ‘Action Over Exclusion’. which opens the building up to liability from potential workers injury lawsuits.
Insurance form: Attached is the sample COI (Certificate of Insurance) to be filled-in and submitted to Ingrid McGregor at Maxwell Kates before any work may proceed. imcgregor@maxwellkates.com
Timeframe: Insurance form should be submitted at least 3 days, (excluding Saturdays and Sundays), prior to planned moving date to Ingrid McGregor imcgregor@maxwellkates.com. Best to submit sooner than 3 days if possible in case a full General Liability policy is required from vendor’s insurance company. This can create a problem for all involved if planned date is already scheduled.
